Hi! I'm Jessica. When I was studying Aerospace Engineering in college, there were very few fellow women in my classes. And while the guys were great, there was this pressure to dress and act a little like them too. I always felt that if I had something with me to remind myself that I belonged there too, things would have been easier. So I built the Starstuff Collective in order to create those special talismans - intelligent and whimsical science inspired jewelry - so women who love science can look at them and remember that they belong. I created these designs to help inspire confidence for women to know they look good while being great at their jobs, and that there is a place for you in STEM.

Look good, feel good

Giving back is also very important to me. A portion of all proceeds will go to organizations that support STEM education or applications. Whether through workshops or direct donations to carefully selected nonprofits, you can feel good about purchasing one of my pieces.

How I make it

All of my products are made in the USA. I either handmake or design each item for sale to ensure quality products that fit with my mission. For PLA items, I design and manufacture each piece myself from my studio in LA. For cast metal items, I 3D model them myself, prototype in PLA at home, and only when I’ve perfected it do I outsource it to a jeweler for casting brass, silver, or gold.
